I’ve talked through this question with a number of B2B support leaders, and here’s what I always tell them:
“This is really a question about your support operations maturity and how many problems you want to solve at once.”
A standalone agent assist tool makes the most sense when you have one specific, well-defined problem and your existing support tech stack is strong. Say you need better in-the-moment knowledge surfacing during live calls and chats. Your helpdesk, CRM, and KB are all solid and current—you just need this one gap filled.
